The Feminist Academy is led and curated by Solange Gulizzi, a doctoral researcher and PhD candidate in Art History at the University of Essex. She has spent years researching power and gender through art and architecture.
Her work asks how gender and class shape the spaces we live in — and how those spaces shape everyday experience, identity, inequality and resistance. Rooted in feminist theory, it brings rigorous ideas into an open, everyday conversation.
Solange also founded and facilitates our monthly feminist book club, meeting in person and online.
